Long ago when I was a little kid I found your videos about drawing chibis, and one about drawing hair, when I was moving away from using how to draw books since I had a bad habit of tracing all the shown instructions on one sheet of paper and then trying to draw it myself on another (I borrowed these books from the local library) and decided to use video tutorials since you can't trace videos. I liked your tutorials, but after awhile I decided I didn't need the tutorials or the books (I was a stubborn teenager who wanted to be able to say I did it all myself, without any help) and soon forgot your name, since I am terrible with names and wasn't looking up your videos almost daily anymore. I didn't have a YouTube account back then. But I always looked up to you, even if in my head you were just "the guy I learned these techniques from". Recently, at 21, I decided to look into tutorials to expand my art style and learn new ways to do things. I looked up eye tutorials, and I found the one you made where you drew and colored a pair of brown eyes. You colored them with copics. That wasn't the important part to me, though. Nor was the content, at first, even though it was very helpful. No, I was too focused on the voice narrating the videos. And it clicked. "Oh my god, its the guy!" I exclaimed to myself and I started laughing in joy. I found the guy who had been the biggest help to me years ago when I was learning to draw manga when I decided I needed help to learn more. 45. Dream Traveler Zenddrex: Thanks Mark, this helps me a lot. I'm writing a book with an all child cast (minus all the monsters), and drawing the characters helps me visualize them. However, I'm used to drawing teenagers or adults, so my sketches up to this point have all made them look older than I want.
46. Peppinhof: +Lord Starfish also she should be in a "good" physical state or at least look like as someone that actually could have survived it. A note: the more detailed you do a face the more it looks older but there are things that you can add that will not totally make your character look like an old man. Try things like lines under the eyes, search "no game no life" and look how the male protagonist has it, but this is more a consequence of not sleeping well so make sure that every line she has on her face makes actually sense. She is pretty young tho, you should focus on the body and expression more for my point of view but I am no expert so it is obv yours to decide, those are just my thoughts
